Random Sample Review is a brand new, online literary journal. We are so brand new, in fact, that we are still in the process of collecting pieces for our very first posts. If you’d like to be one of our first contributors, you can read about us here and find our submission guidelines here. Each author chosen for publication will get their very own circle, just like this one, and will have the opportunity to include photography or art with their writing, just like above.

What are we looking for? Well, in the end, we’ll be choosing work that impresses us, moves us, makes us feel something, grabs onto us and won’t let go. But it is also true that we are more interested in literary than genre, and we love being surprised by new forms. We want pieces that are honest about the human condition, that comment on social realities, that serve a purpose (whether art for art’s sake or to spark a movement). Be emotional. Be unique. Introduce us to new sounds, structures, and shapes. Wow us with your literary genius.
