Artist note: When I created this piece, it was after a trip to Northern California, where I stared with child-like wonder at the beautiful yellow poppies that grew along the coast. 

Hailey Brabazon grew up in southeastern Wisconsin. She took advantage of being stuck inside for the long winters by drawing in her sketch book.
