The buttery surprise
On toast
Crunched brown
Oily
Two eggs
Unbroken
Bacon,
Red and Maple flavored
The thrill
of sitting in pyjamas

Joaquin Soliven is a poet from the Philippines. It took him two tries to finish high school and he is currently contemplating a fifth attempt at university. In the meantime he likes to host readings and wonders if Rilke thinks he’s a dummy for trying to write about love.
